MAK’s Greenspace group is preparing to add new plants to the MAK island. Most of the plants from last year are looking great this spring, and we plan to add drought tolerant shrubs and annuals. We hope you enjoy them!

MAK’s 2nd Annual Neighborhood Yard Sale was a success! Overall, many families participated in the sale and some families participated by selling food—rib plates, hamburgers, chips and beverages. Despite the rain, we had a good turnout. Again, it was a great event and generated revenue for the MAK treasury. Some neighbors even donated proceeds to MAK.

No, MAK neighbors you are not seeing things! The home of Miriam Mathura (322 Adams) is being featured in an advertisement for HGTV’s new show “Sleep on It." The commercials are currently being aired on HGTV. The commercial was filmed on Adams Street in early December.
